Integrated safety as standard
The DIS-2 servo drives are equipped with modern safety functions such as STO and SS1 as standard. These functions ensure that safety-relevant requirements can be met directly in the drive - without any external safety modules or additional wiring. This not only increases the safety of the machine, but also significantly reduces planning and installation costs. Users benefit from a reliable and economical safety concept.

Interruption of the energy supply to the drive in accordance with EN 61800-5-2. This function ensures that the drive can no longer apply energy.

SS1 - Safe Stop 1 (Safe Stop 1)

SS1 - Safe Stop 1 (Safe Stop 1)

The drive is braked autonomously to a standstill within a defined time using a defined braking ramp and then the energy supply is safely switched off. SS1, type C is supported.

Numerous integrated software functions make the DIS-2 servo controllers real all-rounders in drive technology.
The DIS-2 servo controllers not only directly support numerous motor types and many common position encoders, but can also be adapted extremely flexibly to a wide range of application tasks by simply parameterizing the integrated technology functions. The precise and highly accurate evaluation of external signals in the drive enables the shortest possible cycle times to be achieved.

Universal interface variety

CANopen
CANopen

Always on board is the field-proven CANopen fieldbus system with the CiA 402 drive profile. With the operating modes Profile Torque Mode, Profile Velocity Mode, Profile Position Mode, Homing Mode, and Interpolated Position Mode, the servo controller can be used in a wide variety of applications. Several hundred parameters enable complete configuration of the servo controller via CANopen.

The integrated Ethernet interface can be used via a UDP/IP connection, for example, for remote maintenance or as a fieldbus connection. This allows the transmission of setpoints and actual values, error analysis, loading and saving of parameter sets, adjusting individual parameters, and displaying values using the oscilloscope function.

EtherCAT
EtherCAT

All smartServo BL 4000-C devices feature the Ethernet-based EtherCAT fieldbus system. With the CoE (CANopen over EtherCAT) application protocol, all operating modes and parameters of CANopen can also be used under EtherCAT. In multi-axis applications, highly synchronized movements are achieved in the “Cyclic Synchronous Position” mode in combination with Distributed Clocks (DC), even at high cycle times, as the servo controllers synchronize precisely to the external clock.

Profibus

Profibus enables stable and fast real-time data transmission. With flexible topologies, systems of various sizes can be efficiently networked and monitored. Users continue to rely heavily on Profibus, as it allows the use of proven devices and infrastructures.

Analog and digital incremental encoders

The universal encoder interface supports a wide variety of different encoders: both analog 1Vss signals and digital incremental signals, including reference track or zero pulse, are supported. For commutation, digital Hall signals can also be evaluated, and a fault signal input can additionally be connected. One of the encoder inputs can also be used as a pulse-direction input or forward/reverse counting input.
