As in seismics, technological advances in electromagnetic recording systems have emphasised the requirement for simultaneous multi-channel data acquisition.
The Multi-Method Network Geophysical Measurement System ADU‑11e is the result of over 40 years of metronix´s experience in the design and manufacture of electromagnetic geophysical instruments. The electric and/or magnetic field sensors are connected directly to the ADU‑11e (Analog/Digital Signal Conditioning Unit), which is the core unit of this system. Multiple ADU‑10e units can be connected to a network using simple, light-weight and inexpensive network cable or WiFi.
The ADU-11e is a dedicated multi-purpose EM data logger for geophysical exploration
Airborne
For airborne applications, the ADU-11e and the connector board can be stripped from its case.
In airborne mode the ADU starts to sample when the GPS is locked.
The animation above shows the difference between filtered and raw data streams.
The blue beam represents the 32x filtered time series for MT, while the red blocks represent the original 64 kHz time series "shots" for AMT.
The idea is to have many AMT "shots" (red blocks) in order to "catch" times with high activity and good data.
