ADU-11e
24 Bit Geophysical EM Measurement System

As in seismics, technological advances in electromagnetic recording systems have emphasised the requirement for simultaneous multi-channel data acquisition.

The Multi-Method Network Geophysical Measurement System ADU‑11e is the result of over 40 years of metronix´s experience in the design and manufacture of electromagnetic geophysical instruments. The electric and/or magnetic field sensors are connected directly to the ADU‑11e (Analog/Digital Signal Conditioning Unit), which is the core unit of this system. Multiple ADU‑10e units can be connected to a network using simple, light-weight and inexpensive network cable or WiFi.

The ADU-11e is a dedicated multi-purpose EM data logger for geophysical exploration

  • High data quality due to 24 Bit Analog/Digital conversion technology
  • Can be operated as a stand alone or as a multi-channel network system
  • Compatible with all metronix sensors
  • Automatic unattended recording mode
  • Automated system self check of ADU‑11e and sensors during booting
  • Realtime display of time series and spectra
  • Automatic determination of best setup of gains and filters on site
  • 12 V battery powered. Two batteries can be connected for permanent operation.
  • Compact, light-weight, ruggedized and water-proof instrument design
  • Wide operating temperature range from -30° C to +60° C

Airborne

For airborne applications, the ADU-11e and the connector board can be stripped from its case.

In airborne mode the ADU starts to sample when the GPS is locked.

Simultaneous Recording of MT & AMT

32x Filtered TS Streams

Original 64 kHz TS Streams

The animation above shows the difference between filtered and raw data streams.
The blue beam represents the 32x filtered time series for MT, while the red blocks represent the original 64 kHz time series "shots" for AMT.
The idea is to have many AMT "shots" (red blocks) in order to "catch" times with high activity and good data.
